Vilnius University and Vilnius University Library was visited by the President of the Republic of Malta George William Vella and the First Lady of Malta Miriam Vella. The President was met by the Rector of Vilnius University Rimvydas Petrauskas as well as the General Director of the VU Library Irena Krivienė.
During the visit at the Library’s Smuglewicz Hall, His Excellency had the opportunity to see various 16-17th century rare books and 16-19th century manuscripts, important to the Republic of Malta. The documents were presented by the Director of VU Library’s Heritage Collections and Research Department Nijolė Klingaitė-Dasevičienė.
