“The Lithuanian Armed Forces in Photography 2025”

An exhibition dedicated to the memory of war photographer Tadas Dambrauskas, “The Lithuanian Armed Forces in Photography 2025,” is on display in the spaces of the VU Library’s Centre for Scholarly Communication and Information (MKIC). The exhibition offers a closer look at the activities of the Lithuanian Armed Forces and NATO allied troops stationed in the country capturing the intensity of training exercises, national celebrations, and moments from everyday service.

Organised by the Ministry of National Defence for the 21st time, the competition drew record interest: 79 photographers submitted more than 500 photographs. An expert jury reviewed the entries and selected the 59 strongest images, grouped into four thematic categories: “Soldier’s Portrait,” “Military Operations,” “Army Celebrations and Daily Life,” and “Equipment and Armament.”

The exhibition runs until 14 May.
