On 15 March of 2023 the Commemoration Day of the Rescuers of the Jews took place in Vilnius University. During the event we presented a special exhibition, dedicated to Ona Šimaitė - librarian of VU Library and rescuer of Jewish people.
In Simonas Daukantas Courtyard leaders of the state, politicians, descendants of the Rescuers of the Jews, representatives of the Lithuanian Jews, ambassadors, Vilnius University professors, employees and students made speeches and payed their respects by reading the 1785 names of the Rescuers of the Jews.
