On December 5, in the Franciszek Smuglewicz Hall of the Vilnius University (VU) Library, an exhibition dedicated to the 220th anniversary of the Vilnius Medical Society opened its doors: “Societas Medica Vilnensis: Scientia, Humanitas, Historia / Vilnius Medical Society: Science, Humanity, History.”
Among other distinguished guests, the opening was attended by Prof. Dr. Algirdas Utkus, Director of the Institute of Biomedical Sciences at the VU Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the Vilnius Medical Society; Prof. Dr. Gintaras Valušis, VU Vice-Rector for Research; and Irena Krivienė, Director General of the VU Library.
